We believe that great food is an act of love — for the ingredient, the tradition, and the guest who will receive it. At Berlin Bar & Restaurant, every decision we make, from how we source our produce to how we plate our dishes, is guided by an uncompromising pursuit of excellence.

We source the freshest local produce from Ethiopian farms, pair it with imported pantry essentials, and marry it all with techniques drawn from the world's great culinary traditions. The result is a menu that feels both proudly Ethiopian and completely global.

Our bar programme carries the same obsession. Every cocktail is engineered to be memorable — a signature in a glass. The wine list spans 18 countries. The craft beer selection rotates seasonally. There is always something new to discover.

2018

The Beginning

Berlin Bar & Restaurant opens its doors on Namibia St., Bole Atlas, Addis Ababa, with a bold vision: to merge the precision of European fine dining with the soul of Ethiopian hospitality.

2019

First Recognition

Named 'Best New Restaurant in Addis Ababa' by the Ethiopian Hospitality Awards. Our cocktail program earns national acclaim — the Addis Sour becomes a city icon.

2021

Kitchen Expansion

We double our kitchen capacity and introduce the Ethiopian Specials menu — a dedicated showcase of elevated traditional cuisine that quickly becomes our most beloved offering.

2022

The Rooftop Bar

Berlin Rooftop launches, offering panoramic views of Addis Ababa with an exclusive cocktail menu. Becomes the city's most sought-after venue for private events.

2024

National Icon

Featured in international travel publications as a 'must-visit' destination in East Africa. Our wine cellar surpasses 200 labels from 18 countries.
